David couples a deep passion for representing employees with his experience and insights from previously representing California employers. He brings years of employment litigation experience and knowledge from defending California employers in a wide range of matters, including employee relations disputes, wage and hour claims, FEHA matters, administrative hearings, disciplinary actions, employment arbitration, and cases in state and federal court.
David identifies the distinct and often unique issues employees face in both prelitigation and litigation matters, drawing on years of advising California employers on workplace policies, reasonable accommodations, commission plans, reductions in force, employee discipline, and other strategic business decisions. He also relies on his extensive workplace investigation experience to closely scrutinize employers’ responses to employee complaints.
Before joining Miracle Mile Law Group LLP, David worked at a nationwide employment boutique law firm representing private California employers, including Fortune 500 companies. He previously served private and public sector employers at a statewide California law firm and worked for four years as a judicial law clerk in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.
David has been recognized as a Rising Star in Employment and Labor by Super Lawyers in 2022 and 2023, an honor awarded to only 2.5 percent of attorneys in California who are under 40 or have been practicing for fewer than 10 years.
Outside of his legal practice, David officiates Division 1 NCAA football. He is also a past president of the Earl B. Gilliam Bar Foundation and a lifetime member of both the Earl B. Gilliam Bar Association and the California Association of Black Lawyers.
